Dong Shan beach is a two hour bus ride from Zhang Zhou and as seen in the photos there are many things to do. This beach is better to go to than Xiamen as it is not crowded with boats.

Dong Shan also has a floating fishing village which you have to access by boat. If you love cooking seafood this is where you can get cheap fresh fish.
