How to do this:

Each group has a TV host who introduces the topic and the guest to the audience; this is one of the students in a group and will also ask questions to the guest and pass the microphone to the audience to ask questions. This will require a student to be active in front of the class and keep the discussion going on. You have to get the audience active by constantly requesting students to ask questions.

The teacher is one of the characters who is a guest and two other students are also a guest on this show.

The audience have to ask questions to the guests such as "why do you love him when he cheats on you so many times."

Combining group work with class discussion.

The best form of oral activity there can ever be is when the entire class speaks for the whole time. Sometimes this could be difficult to do, maybe the topic is boring or you simply just don't have anything to say at all. Though, this could be solved when you make it interesting and be imaginative because this is for the entire class to get involved with. If you happen to be the host, try to motivate not just yourself but the rest of the class by having some fun. This project is meant to be humorous and could be even more if you are.

What is "white trash?"

In America, white people are the majority race but there are a lot of white Americans who are low educated and despite all the opportunities they have, they live very poorly. In the west, life is not always perfect because people are not educated nor have qualifications to get good jobs. This is a matter of attitude, some people refuse to be educated and some refuse to work. When it comes to relationships, some people believe that a relationship isn't two people working together to be happy. Though, to solve their problems they go onto this type of show and argue as intelligent people find this to be very frustrating. The arguments are usually selfish and believe the other person should do everything as they do nothing for that relationship to survive. So why are these TV shows popular in the west; in Australia we watch these shows to laugh at stupid Americans and if Australians were asked to create a TV show like this, nobody would dare to come onto it as a guest. Though if you ask an American who is educated, he/she will be embarrassed by this type of TV show. These shows give the rest of the world a poor perception of Americans and they don't solve the people's problems anyway. People come onto these shows just to be on Television and have no interests in solving their problems. So when you act out this class project, just remember not to be intelligent and pretend that all you care about is being on television.
