This is a topic for open discussion about real situations in life.
New words to learn; "Spanking," "punching," "abuse," and "child abuse." Spanking is when a child is very naughty and you want to punish him by slapping his bottom. Child abuse is when a parent does horrible things to a child such as punching which is closing your fist and striking the child's face or body.
A woman was walking down the street with her child and the child started to be naughty so she gave him a spank on the bottom. While this was happening another woman witnessed this and called the police to arrest the mother for child abuse.
The topic is: Is spanking a child for being naughty child abuse? If it is child abuse then how should the mother punish the child?
Some parents who don't believe in spanking or hitting say they reason with the child but can you reason with a two year old child?
The people who I know whose parents never spanked them were spoilt little brats who were out of control and my father would take off his belt whenever I was bad. The other children who were never spanked had serious drug problems but I never did. Is this because I was spanked and they weren't or would there be another reason for their drug problem?
Immunization is when you give children medicine to stop them from getting terrible diseases but it is with a needle in the arm.
Some parents are now saying that their children should not be given any immunization because the needle hurts them. When they were asked about what would happen if they were to catch the disease, they responded by saying "those diseases don't exist anymore."
Are these parent right and what is your opinion?
