This section are my multimedia presentations and other activities for use with a computer and a projector. Important: press F11 for full screen when presenting.
Food; this is a HTML project, just like a web site but used as an interactive class exercise.
The reason for this project in HTML format is so that students can choose the categories. Activities ranging from team work, discussions and quizzes.

Supernatural; this is another HTML project, the topic is about UFOs, ghosts and other phenomena.

Famous Places; this HTML project is a quiz where groups compete, has money to print out and the winning team is determined by the amount they have won.

Electing a US President; this HTML project is a video quiz, using a video downloaded from Youtube. It is cut up with questions about the video. The video is from www.commoncraft.com/show

Job Interview; this HTML project is a series of five videos on the do's and don't's in a job interview. It is an extension to a previous project. Videos by www.expertvillage.com

Power Point projects
You don't need to open up Power Point editor, it will display in a window. When it opens up just press the "slide show" icon to view.
Christmas Quiz; this power point is a quiz all about Christmas, have teams compete against each other.

Movies; first section of this power point is about movie genres, the aim is for students to read questions out loud to others on the other side of the classroom. The second section is discussion and quiz, where the students can choose the categories.

Sound Discrimination; this is an exercise to improve pronunciation, such as "TH", "V" and other common mistakes made by students.

Introducing Yourself; an exercise for students to practice giving formal introductions.such as interviews. For instance, talking about their home towns and family.

Social Talk; the aim of this project is to start a conversation with an ice breaker, and then keep that topic going with follow up questions.

The Olympics; the aim for this lesson is to describe the actions of sports using phrasal verbs. The first section is for groups to describe the Olympic event and the others have to guess what it is. The rest is a quiz on the history of the Olympics.

Fashion and shopping; talking about clothes, shopping, and the difference between males and females. Fashion over the decades; can students tell what people of the sixty wore from what people wore in the seventies?

Presentations and Public Speaking; this project is building an introduction to a presentation. To break the habit of students just reading out loud, to teach how to write, and use intonation and pauses.

Talking About Your Home Town; the aim of this project is how to be concise, to give directions, and to be more descriptive when asked about their home town.

Pubs and Bars; for hospitality English students this project includes three videos, how to pour a beer, how to mix a cocktail and what's it like to work as a bartender. Videos from www.ehow.com

Travel and Tourism; this is a project using a lesson from www.drewseslfluencylessons.com. Words, slang and expressions for hospitality students.

Animals In Idioms; this is a power point with a nonlinear navigation which means that you click on an animal, then a number and back to the main page. The purpose is for students to try and guess what their meanings are.

Zodiac: this project's aim is to not just learn about western zodiac but to discuss about personalities. Go through each star sign, find out which students belong to which sign. Get them to discuss whether the sign description represents their personality. Later form groups according to their sign and have each group discuss if they have anything in common.

Love and Marriage: a discussion about dating, weddings and marriage. The students can choose which category they want to discuss. There are cards to hand out and when their cards' topics come up they have to ask the question on the card to any of their classmates.

Impromptu Speech: to practice improvising unprepared speeches. The aim is to demonstrate that creating a subtopic than just talking about the topic itself is far more effective.

Before I got into power points I started with PDF.
When students ask how many people in my family and I would mention my half brother and sister they didn't understand. So I made this story to explain and all this plus more.

I had students despite having fluent English abilities they didn't know how to say "sticky tape the page together." This project uses 50 pen drawings made by me.

This is a task where students have to fill in the captions in the speech bubble. They are required to use their imagination and come up with a response.

Using pictures from the internet to discuss about anorexia and the fashion industry.
